Prices below for melee are for average mixed qualities. Sorted higher qualities will get higher prices and sorted lower will get lower prices.

The Midsouth PM Large Diamond Buying Pricelist is used to give a estimation of buy prices per carat for accurately graded ROUND BRILLIANTS. For FANCY CUT buy prices use the conversion charts below. Prices can vary according to current market conditions, cut quality, and your accuracy of description of the diamonds. To verify our current buy prices please call or e-mail us for blind quotes. Quotes and prices are not guaranteed until visual inspection is verified.
How to use the Price list: To figure the buy price total for the stone simply locate the size range, then the color grade, then scale over to the right and cross section with the clarity grade, and multiply the size of your stone X the per carat price to get the net total price. For example, a 2.20 ct D Color with VS2 Clarity x 9595 Per Carat = $21,109 Net Total.
Price Variation for Cut Quality, symmetry and polish Grading Specifications For Rounds and Fancies: Rounds and Fancies with a combination of Premium cut grades, symmetry grades and polish grades of Very Good or Excellent will get the prices as listed. Please refer to the Price Conversion Chart for Cut Quality, symmetry, and polish grades for RB & Fancy Cuts below to take off the proper deduction. Prices can also vary depending on the intensity of other factors detailed below. Including chips, black inclusions in the center of the stone, medium and strong blue fluorescence, milky, hazy or sleepy looking stones.
Rounds: Rounds with a combination of Premium cut grades, symmetry grades and polish grades of Very Good or Excellent, with depths from 58.5% to 63%, and tables from 53% to 60% command the highest prices as listed on the price sheet. If the cut quality, symmetry Or polish is less than premium grades, use the price list then use the price conversion chart below for cut quality, symmetry and polish. If any of those grades are below Very Good deduct one time.
Rounds with slightly less or more depth and table percentages listed above bring -10% to -15% (good cut grade) less than premium cut prices. If more than a slight difference (fair or poor), example: Depth is less <57% or greater 64%> and table less <52% or greater 65%> will bring larger deductions -25%-30% for fair specs, and -45 or lower for poor specs.
Fancy shapes: Fancy Shapes vary in prices but are generally -45% to -50% less than rounds depending on the size, quality and shape. The average is approximately -45% less than rounds for fancy cuts. Some fancy shapes like heart shapes, marquis and trillions can bring -45% to -50% less than rounds which are slower movers. Cut quality is also Very important when determining prices for all fancy cuts.
